Engagement

Currently, Gold Candle’s activities at and around the Kerr-Addison site are limited to exploration and the Company has yet to begin work that could trigger a formal consultation process. However, Gold Candle aims to build open, trust-based, and positive relationships with neighbouring and Indigenous communities and organizations at each stage of project development. For that reason, Gold Candle has developed community engagement principles to guide our efforts on the Kerr-Addison Project.

As a responsible Canadian exploration company, Gold Candle is committed to:

  • Ensuring proactive, ongoing, and effective community engagement, per community interests and expectations

  • Providing timely, complete, transparent, and publicly accessible information about Gold Candle’s work that addresses issues, concerns, and opportunities raised by communities and organizations

  • Making project decisions based on feedback from Indigenous and stakeholder communities, per a variety of perspectives

Reconciliation

Gold Candle has progressively begun outreach with neighbouring Indigenous communities to inform them about the Company’s activities and intentions in the region, and to gain an understanding of what their interests, expectations and concerns may be with regards to a potential mineral development project at the Kerr-Addison site.

Gold Candle is committed to work with potentially impacted and interested Indigenous Communities and Organizations (ICOs) by building open, trust-based, and positive relationships to the benefit of communities and the Company.
